How to stop brain coral bleaching

Scientists have discovered a new compound in rice that prevents brain coral from bleaching.

The discovery is significant because it has been known since 2012 that the coral is highly susceptible to bleaching, but scientists had no way to test for the substance before.

Rice researcher Marisa Tamai said she and her colleagues tested rice samples from a few farms in southern China to find out if the compound could help stop coral bleachers from damaging crops.

Rice is the main crop crop for the region.

Tamao said the compound is also effective against algae that are harmful to crops, like the common brown algae.

The researchers tested rice in five different regions across China, from a rice field in the north to a rice crop in the south, including in the northern province of Zhejiang.

They found that the compound was effective in reducing bleaching in the rice fields, while reducing the damage to algae in the fields that were not treated with the compound.

Tamii said that in the study, she had found that rice is one of the only crops that is effective against coral bleaches in the wild.

The compound she used was the human brain coral polysaccharide (HPCP), which is known to be a natural food for coral.

Tamaa said that while she and the researchers had not found any negative side effects of the rice, there were a number that she said she would like to see tested.

“One thing we want to test is what effect the compound has on the rice.

If we find that there is no adverse effect, then that’s great,” she said.

Dao also said he was concerned about the potential for algae to colonize rice plants if the rice was treated with HPCPs.

Toshiya Nishimori, a researcher at the Japan-based Japanese Association for the Advancement of Science, told Al.
